Itinerary
You will be met on arrival at the Airport/Railway Station. Transfer to Gangtok. In the evening, you may either chose to take rest or go for a walk around the town.
Overnight in Gangtok.
Go for a full day sightseeing covering Rumtek Monastery– famous for the Golden Stupa, Jhakri Water Falls where you get absorbed by the sounds of the waterfall. Also visit Do-drul Chorten – a significant holy stupa of Gangtok, the Research Institute of Tibetology – a museum beautifully laid out with Buddhist history (Closed on Sunday) and the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom – a heritage gem. (Closed on Sunday), Also enjoy a vibrant Flower Show.
Overnight in Gangtok.
After a hearty breakfast in the morning, start your day with an excursion to Baba Mandir & Tshangu Lake - situated at a height of 12400Ft / 3780 Mts, with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Tshangu Lake is revered as a holy lake by the locals of Sikkim. What’s interesting is that the surface of this lovely lake reflects different colours with the change of seasons. Visited by hundreds of people each day, Baba Mandir is a beautiful holy shrine. Get back to Gangtok. Overnight at the Hotel. (In case of a Landslide or any reason due to which Tshangu Lake is closed, we will provide an alternate sightseeing).

After breakfast transfer to Darjeeling (7380 Ft / 2250 Mts).
Standing high in the Himalayas at an altitude of 2134m, ‘Dorje Ling’, or place of the Thunderbolt, offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountain peaks, with the Kanchendzonga rising higher than all the others. Often referred to as the “Queen of the Hills”, it remains just as alluring with its tiny waterfalls, little villages and a narrow gauge railway track. Surrounded by World Famous Tea Gardens and snow capped mountains, Darjeeling remains one of the most exotic destinations. Graeme Westlake in his book ‘An introduction to hill stations on India’ refers to Darjeeling as having “A view Scarcely Unrivalled on Earth”.
Overnight in Darjeeling.
Get ready for an early morning tour to Tiger Hills (8364 Ft/2550 Mts at around 4 AM) to view a captivating sunrise over the Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On your way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop. After breakfast, go for a half-day sightseeing tour of the Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. (Closed on Thursday). Also enjoy the Darjeeling Ropeway Ride (Ticket cost not included & will be approx INR 180.00 per person). Visit the Tenzing & Gombu Rock – where Tenzing Norway did his training, the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & get a scenic view of the lovely Tea Estate.
Overnight in Darjeeling.
After breakfast, checkout of the hotel & Reach the Bagdogra Airport / Railway Station for your journey that takes you back home with fulfilling memories.
