Post breakfast, visit Kamakhya Temple, a popular Hindu pilgrimage site. At the time of Ambubashi festival, this temple is thronged by over million devotees. After paying homage to the mother goddess Kamakhya, return back to the hotel and hit the road to the famous Kaziranga National Park. Upon arrival, check into the Jungle resort. Explore the nearby Tea Estate in the afternoon followed by a cultural show in the evening. Stay overnight at Kaziranga.
During the early morning, around 5.30 am, explore the central and eastern range of the Kaziranga National Park via Elephant and Jeep safari respectively. Later, return back to the hotel for lunch and proceed to explore the western range of this wildlife sanctuary via jeep. Stay overnight at Kaziranga.
In the morning, take a road trip to Shillong (280 kilometers in 6 hours). On the way, have lunch at the Borapani Umiam Lake, a tranquil lake surrounded by sylvan hills. On arrival, check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, explore the local market. Stay overnight at the hotel in Shillong.
Post breakfast in the morning, hit the road to Cherrapunjee, the heaviest rainfall destination in the world. Visit Noh-ka-Likai and a few caves in and around Cherapunjee. Later, return back to Shillong. On the way, visit Shillong Peak and Elephanta Falls. Stay overnight at the hotel in Shillong.
In the morning, embark on a sightseeing tour of Shillong which include Hyadri Park and Ward Lake. Also known as the ‘Scotland of the East’, Shillong is the former capital of Assam and home to the Khasi highland tribes. Post lunch, return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Today, you will be transferred to the airport to board flight for onward destinations.
