Laokhowa Wildlife Sanctuary Nagaon is a protected area in the state of Assam in the bank of Brahmaputra River in the Nagaon district. Laokhowa Wildlife Sanctuary Nagaon covers 70.13 sqkm area and is a part of the Laokhowa-Burachapori eco-system. It is an ideal habitat for Asiatic water buffaloes and Indian Rhinoceros. Other animals that are found here are Royal Bengal Tiger, Hog Deer, Leopard Cat, Indian Leopard, Indian Boar, Civet, etc.

The popular things to see Laokhowa Wildlife Sanctuary Nagaon is the Brahmaputra basin along with the one-horned Rhinoceros and the Kaziranga National Park, which is 40 km downstream from Brahmaputra basin, and Orang National Park which is 30km northwest on the other side of the Brahmaputra River. Apart from that, you get to see several different species of bird in the sanctuary. You will also find many rare, endangered; threatened species in the sanctuary conserved well by the state.

It is just 25 km away from Nagaono Assam. You can do a day trip to Laokhowa Wildlife Sanctuary  from Tezpur. There are ferry services from Tezpur.
